Day 305: Loved

Anywhere we take Joseph, within 5 minutes of us being there, he usually has a crowd around him just watching him.

Day 304: Friends

One of Jeremy and my favorite kid book is "The Monster at the End of This Book, Starring Grover."  Jeremy found an iPad app for it the other day and Clara loves "reading" the book in the iPad.  She had a friend over and were listening to the app read the story.  Clara decided to pretend she was scared.  Luckily the friend just laughed when Clara started to maul her. 

Day 303: Sleepy Joe

I love how Joseph always sleeps with his arms up in the air.

Day 302: Cousins

I love this picture of Joseph's cousin holding him.  He was cooing and smiling a ton at her.

Day 301: Braids

I put Clara's hair in braids after her bath so that she would have curly hair the next day.  But she thought all those braids were too beautiful to be taken out the next day.

Day 298: Playin'

I got to watch my sister's kids today for just a few minutes.  Oh how I love it when Clara plays with her cousins.

Day 297: Chillin

Is seems like we hardly ever have time to hang out as a family these days.  So I love every minute that we do get to just be together as a family.

Day 296: Vacuum Cleaned

The beater bar on our vacuum hadn't been cleaned in months.  So I tackled that gross task this morning.  (Yes that is a disgustingly huge pile of hair.)

Day 295: Sleeping

Jeremy and I were watching some talks on the internet when we found that both of our kids had fallen asleep.  We quickly decided to take advantage and took a quick nap ourselves.

Day 294: Reading Prize

Clara got this for earning stickers as she learns to read.  I was really trying to get a picture of the bruises on the bridge of her nose and upper lip, but I had to trick her into thinking I was taking a picture of her LaLaLoopsy.  (And yes I'm afraid my daughter could turn into a hoarder.  Look at all those things in the back ground she insists on keeping.)

Day 293: Volvo

We bought this Volvo 7 years ago and it's 25 years old now.  We took it in for safety and emissions this week to register our car for another year.  It didn't pass safety.  We now have to decide if the car is worth the $1200 to fix or if we should just become a one car family....

Day 291: Waiting for Mom

Day number 2 of watching little guy, he happily decided to wait on the porch for mom to come home.  (She wasn't going to come home for another 2 hours...)

Day 290: Passed Out

I've started to watch my neighbor's boy twice a week.  This was his first day and around nap time, he decided he wanted to go home.  He cried and cried at the door and no matter what I did, couldn't get him to calm down.  Knowing that sometimes he just needs to be left alone, I did just that.  As soon as I heard him stop crying, I ran to give him a hug and found him like this.  (When he woke back up he resumed right where he left off, but at least that time I was able to distract him.)

Day 289: Jack-O-Latern

The nose is supposed to be a heart - but you try carving a heart nose and see how well you do!

Day 287: Weeds

I hadn't weeded my yard since before Joseph was born.  So I took the opportunity of having Jeremy home to watch kids on a day that wasn't too hot.  I spent over 2 hours just weeding!  Our garbage can was empty before I started putting all our weeds in it.

Day 286: Sleepy Joe

I love it when Joseph falls asleep in my arms.  (By the way, it's REALLY hard to get a good picture of a sleeping baby while you are holding him.)

Day 285: Lizard

I was borrowing my neighbors ladder, when I found this lizard in her garage.  The kids were so excited that I had "caught" a lizard for them.

Day 284: Disappointment

I dropped and broke our camera while I was in Montana.  Luckily, my Mom let me borrow hers until we could get a new one.  I was so disappointed today to receive our camera in the mail, only to learn it's not what we ordered.  I now have to wait 7- 10 business days for an email with instructions of how to return it, then I have to wait for them to receive the mistake before I can get sent a new one....  So it looks like we're going to be borrowing Mom's camera for a month....

Day 283: Doctor

Clara had her 5 year well check today.  She got her kindergarten shots a year ago, so she didn't have any shots today.  She was still very nervous about going to the Dr because she was just sure they were going to hurt her.  Sure enough, they needed to do an iron count, so they pricked her toe.  Luckily it was over quickly and she was very excited to see her Tinkerbell Band-aid had her favorite fairy on it.

Day 282: Healthy Baby

Utah has a program for premature babies where a nurse will come to your home once a month to check on you and the baby, talk to you about any concerns you have, and do an assessment on your baby to make sure that they are developing normally.  Joe's first visit was today.  He now weighs 11 lbs and is progressing normally!  This is a picture of all the stuff they gave to me today.

Day 281: Good-Bye

This is the Kootenai River.  I took it as we were leaving Libby to come back home.

The guy on the right is playing Taps at my Grandad's funeral.  This was played right after the 21 gun salute (I guess 15 in this case) by the other men.

Day 277: Deer

We saw MANY deer this trip.  I kept trying to get a picture to show how close we were to them.  This was the best one.  I'm standing in the doorway to our house....
